Youla started practicing Yoga in 2003 to help heal a spinal injury. She discovered that Yoga not only has the power to heal the physical body but also transform and help develop a greater understanding and awareness of ourselves. Youla became dedicated to sharing with her students the many benefits she has received.
With over 5 years of teaching experience, her intention is to provide a safe and nurturing space where students can develop an authentic and holistic practice. Her classes are infused with philosophy, pranayama, meditation and sound. Youla offers a strong but accessible Vinyasa Flow practice with emphasis on alignment and conscious breathing. She carefully guides and challenges her students through creative and intelligent sequences and seeks to help them remain mindful and develop a deeper connection to their being.
Youla is certified with Yoga Alliance International and completed her initial Teacher Training in the styles of Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga. She has also undertaken training in Yin and restorative Yoga and is influenced by the science of Ayurveda. Youla is currently completing her advanced teacher training (500 hours) with leading Vinyasa Flow teacher and UK’s first PranaFlow Trainer, Alessandra Pecorrella of Aditya Yoga School, to whom she is extremely grateful. Youla has also served as a mentor on the 20016-17 Aditya Yoga School 200-hour teacher training and continues to mentor newly qualified teachers.
